Age of Parents:
30-49 years old for healthy infant; may be older if considering older or special needs child.

Other Children:
May have other children in family.

U.S. Citizenship:
One parent must be a U.S. citizen.

Marriage:
Married couples only.

Travel:
One parent is required to travel.
One trip: approximately 10-15 days in China. Families are escorted throughout the process. Travel is by group only, usually in groups of 3-8 families.

Gender:
Either, although primarily female.

Age:
Infants are usually 6-12 months of age; Toddlers and older children are available. Special needs children are also available.

Referral:
Referral 23 months after dossier is logged in to CCAA.

Travel:
Travel occurs 6-8 weeks following acceptance of referral.

International Program Administration Fee. (Review home study and documents; assistance/coordination of dossier; translations; program consultation; telephone, fax, mailing fees and International relief/program development)

China Foreign Fee. (Fees to orphanage and local government administration.)
